Herbs with amazing benefits!!

Herbs have been used since ancient times for their medicinal properties, mostly concentrated in teas and tinctures. Recently, their health value as a food ingredient has been realized. For one, herbs add a mixture of flavours to a meal, allowing you to cut back the salt without tasting it. And many herbs, including parsley, contain significant amounts of essential vitamins A, C and K.                                                               But the true power of herbs is that the plant compounds have powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. A plethora of studies suggests that herbs help to combat diseases such as cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's, diabetes and more. Polyphenols are anti-microbial, so they can also help protect us from harmful bacteria. Although many studies conducted on herbicidal effects have included concentrated solutions of the active components of the leaves, there is evidence that their benefits apply even when they are cooked and eaten as part of a regular diet. We will discuss some herbs.

Thyme

Thyme is a herb. leaves, Flowers, and oil are used as medicine. Thyme is sometimes used along with other herbs. Thyme is taken by mouth for bronchitis, sore throat cough, colic, stomach irritation, arthritis, gastritis and diarrhoea, bedwetting, a movement disorder in children (dyspraxia), Flatulence, skin disorders and parasitic worm infections. It is also used to increase urine flow (as a diuretic), as an appetite stimulant and to disinfect urine.

Some people apply thyme directly to the skin for sore (laryngitis), swollen tonsils (tonsillitis), sore throat and bad breath. Thyme oil is used as a germ-killer in mouthwashes and lineaments. It is also applied to the scalp to fight bacterial and fungal infections for baldness and ear.

Thymol, one of the chemicals, is used along with another chemical, chlorhexidine, as a dental varnish to prevent tooth decay. Thyme is used as a flavouring agent in food. In manufacturing, red oregano oil is used in perfumes, soaps, cosmetics and toothpaste.

Turmeric

Turmeric is a spice.  turmeric root is widely used to make medicine.  Turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory. Inflammation is an essential process in the body, as it fights harmful invaders and repairs damage caused by bacteria, viruses and injuries. However, chronic inflammation has mostly been implicated in chronic conditions such as heart disease and cancer, so it must be controlled. Curcumin has proven in turmeric, strong anti-inflammatory properties that inhibit the action of inflammatory molecules in the body. Studies show positive effects of curcumin on people suffering from conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease among others.

Turmeric is a powerful antioxidant. Curcumin has been shown to be a strong scavenger of oxygen free radicals, which are chemically active molecules that damage body cells. Inflammation, as well as free radical damage, is a major driver of heart disease, so curcumin may play a role in preventing and managing heart disease.

Turmeric has anticancer effects. Many animal studies have detected the effect of turmeric on cancer, and many have found that it can affect the formation, growth and development of cancer at the molecular level. Research has shown that it can reduce the spread of cancer and contribute to the death of cancer cells. Turmeric and curcumin may also be able to counter the effects of certain carcinogens, such as some additives used in processed food.

Turmeric can help with skin conditions. According to one study, turmeric has been shown to help reduce the symptoms of skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema.

Basil

Basil can provide health benefits in the diet as herbal medicine and essential oil. Traditional uses include snakebites, colds, and the treatment of inflammation within the nasal passages - for example, a common effect of a cold. Basil provides some macronutrients, such as calcium and vitamin K, as well as a range of antioxidants.

Sweet basil, for example, has a high concentration of the chemical agent eugenol. It gives it a clove-like aroma. Lemon and lemon peels have high concentrations of limonene, which gives them a sour smell. Eugenol and limonene both have antioxidant properties.

Black pepper

Black pepper grows in India and other tropical Asian countries. Black pepper is one of the most used spices in the world. Both black pepper and white pepper come from the same plant species.
